HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 21st instant, from lhe High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Hemp: —Manila market easier under freer offers and limited support. “J” grade June-August shipment sold down to £23, which was closing value. Sisal: —Market inactive, No. 1 fair average quality June-August shipment sold £2O 2/0. Steadier at the close. Buyers’ ideas for July-'September shipment £2O 5/aud August-October shipment, £2O .10/-; No. 2 July-'September shipment £25 TO/-; good marks 10/nio re. New Zealand: —Market quiet, little interest, shown by consumers. Small business lias been done in high points fur July-August shipment at £2O.
