The friends of Airs. J. Newton will he pleased to learn that she is making good progress towards recovery after a severe attack of inliuonza. tt was officially staled last evening that. Sir Joseph Wbrd had a bad turn yesterday and that his rendition was lower than it had been for the past week. Mr. W. Roach, of the local branch of the Bank of New Zealand, has been transferred to Palmerston N. and left Foxton on Monday. Air. 15. Wigg, of Pukekohe, lias been I ransferred to Foxton and lias taken up his duties. Mr. amt Airs. W. F. Barber, of Motuiti, left by Hie daylight Limited express yesterday for Hamilton where Mr. Barber will attend Mie conference of the National Dairy Association.
Adrian Kinross White, son of Air. W.
