FOXTON SILVER BAND
On Sunday afternoon at the Memorial Triangle, the loc-al band played a number of selections, which were appreciated by a large gathering of the public. This was the first appearance of the band since Anzae Day, and the opinion was expressed on all sides that performances such as last Sunday's should! be giviqn regularly. Inconversation with our representative, the conductor, Mr. W. S. Ileyes, stated that such was the object of the band, so Foxton can look forward to Sunday afternoon concerts at least once a month in future. Steady progress is being maintained in the band practices, and both new and old members are showing very keen interest. Favourable comment was made upon the soloists in the band, in fact the whole performance was a credit to all concerned.
