Tlie woman Mayor of Southampton, Mrs. Foster Welch, sailed in the United States liner Leviathan this week to pay an official visit to some of the principal American cities. Mrs. Foster Welch as Mayor, is ex-officio Admiral of the Port of Southampton and her flag flew from the mast-head as the vessel left the docks.
