ACTION FOR INJURY FAILS.
Auckland, Last Night. In the case in which Arthur Frederick Rose, aged 18, claimed £IOOO damages against Grinter Brothers, contractors, for loss of fingers through the explosion of a detonator, the jury to-day, after 12 minutes’ retirement, returned a verdict for defendants, who out of consideration for plaintiff’s father, did not ask for costs.
