VALUE OF PALMERSTON INSTITUTION. Stating that the board was most desirous that the public should know of the services provided by the ante-natal clinic in Palmerston North, Sir James AA T ,llson, chairman of the Hospital Board, made reference to the Work being performed bv this institution.

The clinic, he stated, had now been established over two months, and it was gratifying to the board that expectant mothers were making use of the facilities provided. “Each Friday morning the medical superintendent and the sister in charge of the maternity home conduct this clinic,” said Sir James Wilson, “and over thirty-six mothers have visited the clinic in the past eight weeks.” The value of ante-natal advice to be obtained in such a clinic could not be over-estimated, continued the chairman, who added that it was pleasing to note that the maternity home was proving most popular'with the mothers of the district.
