JAPANESE TRAINING SQUADRON.

FAREWELL MESSAGES. The Japanese Training Squadron left New Zealand from Auckland on Saturday morning, and His Excellency the Governor-General has received the following message from Vice-Admiral Kobayashi, commanding the 11.1.J.M. Training Squadron. “On 'the departure from Auckland and the Dominion of New Zealand I would like to. tender Your Excellency, on behalf of all the personnel of the Japanese Training Squadron my deep gratitude for all the courtesy and hospitality extended by Your Excellency, and my humble request that this may be conveyed to all concerned. With highest regards and best wishes to Your Excellency and to the Dominion. (Signed), ADMIRAL KOBAYASHI.” To this message His Excellency has made the following reply:— “I thank you for your kind telegram, which will give as much pleasure to the Government and people of New Zealand as it does to myself. On their behalf I beg to assure you of the pleasure which your visit has given, especially in the opportunity which it has afforded to give expression to the cordial feelings which are entertained by the people of New Zealand towards the country which you represent. We wish you and your officers and men a pleasant voyage and safe return home. (Signed), CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General."
