BOWLING.
The official opening of Bulls Club’s green will take place on Wednesday next. Foxton Club has been asked to send two rinks. Local bowlers desiring to make the trip should hand their names to the secretary (Mr Downes) as early as possible. A meeting' of committee will be held in the C. M. Ross Co.’s rooms on Monday evening at 7.30 o’clock. LEVIN CLUB OPENS. Levin Club held the official opening of their green on Wednesday last, there being a large number of bowlers present. Visitors were present from Palmerston North and Shannon. Owing to the road being impassable, Foxton Club had to send a message of apology, and good wishes for the success of the current season. The opening ceremony was performed by the president (Mr E. Derham), Miss Frances Pyke rolling the kitty, and Mrs Derham the first bowl.
