A number of Federationists have been creating a certain amount of unrest among waterside workers at Tinmu for sometime past, and as a result a new union was formed by the late free labour party. A number of the old waterside workers have joined the new union. On Tuesday last about 30 men were employed on the Union Steam Ship Company’s steamer Flora, one-third being seceders from the old union. All worked amicably together. The o'.d hands are recognised experts, and were selected on that account. A number of Federationists went to the wharf and made some demonstrations, but no real disturbance occurred.
