Sir, —I should deem it a favour if you will all nv me, through the medium of your paper, to thank those who so willingly subscribed to the fund collected by Mr. F. Woods for installing gas into All Saints Church. It is indeed refreshing to know that charity in its real meaning still exists, aud that there are times when something can be done for the service of God without the aid of bazaars, socials, and concerts. In these days of forgetfulness, spontaneous giving is indeed rare, for our charity mostly exists in getting something back for what we do. If this spirit, lately shown iu our midst, could be more fully realised, the Church would not have to stoop to such ignominious means as special attractions to draw people to Divine worship, or to the numerous entertainments for the maintenance of the Kingdom of God 0:1 earth. This little action ot a few devout men is all the more beautiful, because it came entirely from themselves, unknown tojffie church authorities. —I am, etc., G. Y. Woodward.
