NO-LICENSE CAMPAIGN.
The Rev. H. F. L. Palmer, auglican minister, of New South Wales, who is assisting the NoLicense Campaign by delivering addresses throughout this i Dominion, arrived in Foxton lastnight. Owing to some misunderstanding, Mr Palmer arrived by train instead pf, as arranged, - by motor car from Turakina. The open-air meeting was therefore delayed. Mr Palmer spoke ,in Wharf Street, and received a good hearing. To-night he will speak at the same locality, prior to his meeting in the Masonic Hall.
This morning Mr Palmer visited several of the local flaxmills.
The two pictures now on view in Mr Bullard’s shop window, showing heaps of beer barrels and whisky bottles in Ashburton, will be specially dealt with to-night The address commences at 8 p.m
