■ Sir, —In reporting the opening of Foxton Gas Works, you referred to the granting of the concession by the Foxton Borough Council, to myself as a company promoter. My business is that.of a representative of several of .the largest, and best known gas plant manufacturers in Great Britain. In the pursuit and interest of my business and those I represent, I initiate the installation of coal gas works, and obtain concessions, assist in every way their erection as a legitimate business, supply drawings and specifications, and estimates, for which I have been thanked by mayors and councillors, for information rendered', but not as a company , promoter. This I leave to others, better qualified. Having been the holder of the Foxton concession, also having represented the successful tenderers, Messrs Newton, Chambers and Co. Ltd., for supplying the whole of the plant for the Foxton Gas Works, I was surprised to note, in mentioning the names of those present, my own was omitted, as having been present at the opening of the works, I initiated.
