PREPARATIONS FOR WELCOME.

A deputation, consisting of Messrs T. K. Macdonald, E. J. Hill, iSimpnon, J. A. Plimmer, T. Dwan, R. Bannister, C. Izard, W. Turnbull, Wylie, Baker, MoParland, Godber, C. Luke, 0. Hill and Drs Collins and Martin, waited on the Mayor on Thursday afternoon to ask him to call a meeting to make arrangements for welcoming the Premier at his home-coming.
