The following are the official quotations of the Frozen Meat Trade Association. The basis of quotations ; s the sale of a line of not less than 100 carcasses of mutton or lamb Ml the quotations are for fair quality. Quotations' for New Zealand lamb do no{ include small lambs or heavies or inferior quality : — MUTTON. New Zealand crossbred wethers and maiden ewes— Canterbury, unchanged, at B£l per 1b; Dunedin =md Southland, unchanged at 81 ; North Island, £l higher, at 2| 1. Eiver Plate, crossbred or merino we*hers, unchanged, at 2 7-161 per Ib. | LAMB. Piime Canterbury £l lower, at 4^l ocr lb ; fair average (including Dunedin), Southland, Wellington *nd secondary Canterbury), unchanged, at 4fl per Ib. HEMP. Hemp is active, and prices are advancing. Fair Weilington is quoted at. £29 to £30. TALLOW. The returns for August show as follows :— Stock, 18,272 casks : im ports, 4217 ca*lc3 ; deliveries, 7520 caste.
