♦ ■■■■*• QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the above Church just held showed that the circuit was in a flourishing condition. It was resolved to report 67 members to the conference, being an increase of two upon last year. The income for the quarter was very good indeed, but as there was a number of heavy items in the expenditure, a sum of about £5 deficency was shown, but arrangements were made for wiping it off. The thanks of the meeting was heartily accorded to all who had helped to make the sale of work so successful. The Rev W. Woollass was appointed delegate to the Conference which is to be held in Christchurch in January, and a very strong feeling was expressed by all the members of the meeting that the Rev. W. Woollass would be allowed the circuit for another year as it was felt that a great injustice would be done if he was removed. The meeting was pleased to receive a communication from the Rev. T. Barnett intimating that he wouid be in Foxton on the Bth January and would take the service on that date. The Conference was asked to con. tinue its subsidy of £xo tor another year. Arrangements were made for a Bachelors' Tea to be held about the middle of January, when a number of the former ministers of the station could be present as they were passing through to Ithe Conference. All the officials were re-elected with addition of Mr A. Morgan and F. Walker as society stewards.
