Gorton & Sox's Stock Report.
Fair entries came forward at Bulls last week and Awahuri yesterday ; at the latter sale the class of stock was very good, and consequently nearly everything was sold— what not "tfh3er the hammer privately afterwards. The prices at both sales were slightly better. Our quotations are — Bulls. Cattle. — Syr bullocks, £5; 2yr mixed, £3 4s ; weaners and yearlings mixed £1 8s 6d. Sheep. — Ewes in lamb, 8s ; 2-th wethers, 11s lOd ; shorn lambs, 4s 6d. Awahuri. Caitle. — Forward cows, £4 ss ; heifers in calf, £4 10s ; milkers, £5 10s to £6 10s ; weaners, 25s to 295. Sheep.— 2th Romney ewes, 18s ; 2th Lincoln ewes, 9s lOd to 18s ; breeding ewes in. lamb, 4-th and upwards, 10s 8d to 10s 9d ; wethers, 11s 4d. Young horses, £2 to £6.
