To start at 1 p.m. Horowhenua Cup Handicap, of 35 sovs; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes ; distance, one mile and a half. Nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 15s. To start at 2 p.m. Second Hurdle Handicap, of 15 sovs ; second horse to receive 2 sovs from the stakes ; distance, one mile and a quarter. Nomination, 20s. Weights will be declared after the First Hurdle Handicap is run. Acceptance, 5s ; to be notified fifteen minutes after the weights are posted up. Saturday, April 30th. — Nominations for Trial Handicap, Stewards' Handicap, First and Second Hurdle Handicaps, and Horowhenua Cup. Saturday, May 7th. — Weights declared for all handicaps, except the Second Hurdle Handicap. Saturday, May 14th* — Accsptances for Trial Handicap, Stewards' Handicap, First Hurdle Handicap, and Horowhenua Cup. Also entries for Selling Race. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. The above programme is confined to hacks only, and for the purpose of this meeting the definition of a hack is as follows : — A horse tbat has never, at any time, won a race of any description, hack and hunter races excepted. 2. All races will be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Club's of the Colony. 3. All nominations, entries, and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary fees payable, must be in the hands of the Secretary by 8 p.m. on the advertised dates of closing, unless otherwise specified. 4. The usual 5 per cent will not : be deducted from the gross amount iof the stake. Horses walking over will only receive 50 per cent of the stake. 5. All horses must be ridden in colours which must be named at the time of nomination. 6. 10 per cent will only be charged on totalisator investments. E. W. E, HOMBERSLEY, Hon. Secretary.
