FANCY DRESS BALL.

Foxton hat had lU(a!a week. The performance of the Flower Queen was celebrated the following night by a Fancy Dreitßall at the Public Hall, at which all the pretty flower* which bloomed severely alone the previous night, permitted man to mingle and dance with. Others who were not flowers, went in many other pretty coßtumoa> but the male fancy characters evidenced a look of •riginality. However, the ball was a marked success, At one time over fifty couples were dancing, beside g many an on-looker, A capital refreshment table was provided, and the evening was tound so enjoyable that noae went home till morning did appeir. Herr Nor berg played the piano* and Mr J; C. B. Isherwood very kindly added hit violin, which was also at times farther backed up vitb bis son playing a second violin, therefore the xnu*ie made both young and old take to "tbe light fantastic toe,/ and they enjoyod it too. ' Last nigbt the Heatherbelis and Popples, the younger floweis of the troupe, b«d their liuie fling, and invited their young friends to at pleasant an evening as their elders had tbe night before.
