THE PUKEMIRO TROUBLE

WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. As a. result of a conference with the Pukemiro Miners' Union, Mr Hally has received authority to arrange a settlement with the executive of the Mine-owners' Association, provided that the union's sanction permitting him tO act is confirmed by Mr Arbuekle. Mr Hally will arrive in Wellington this afternoon to confer with the executive of the association.
