A letter was received from tho "Watedea Fortnight" collecting committee asking if, as the 21st of Augustwas the last day of the Waterleo. effort, the Union would, postpone thofixture arranged for that date on the Domain, or would granttho proceedsto. the fund» the Union having gained/ permission to take a gate on this occa^~ sion.

Members thought that the Waterlea Committee was asking too mucli, as the Union was arranging a, benefit match for the- fund, and the fixture in question was post important. It was a matter of financial consideration, and the Union could not aiford' to lose the gate.

It was re.soJved to- answer that tho' Union could not fall in with the Waterlsa Committee's projiosal.
