TRAWLERS WRECKED

BIG SEA AT KAIKOURA

CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 4: . The trawler Trumpeter, which left Lyttelton on Monday night for Westport, put in at Kaikoura to shelter. Later she got adrift from her moorings and became a total wreck. The liumpeter was recently sold by Milttor Bros, to Captain Jack?on, of Westport. Capi.ain Stein was in charge of the vessel from Lyttelton t.<> Westport.

The itraw'ier Alone, belonging to My Devry, a fisherman of Kaikoura, also 'dragged her moorings in a big sen at Kaikoura and was broken in half. •
