Major H. H. Browne has been appointed Sergeant-a.t-A.nns of._ the House of Representatives. He is ah Imperial Army officer and served in several campaigns in India and South, Africa. Major Browne was also on the staff forces in the Seventh N.Z. Mounted Rifles during the Boer war, but his* services were not accepted for the Great War. He was awarded ■an 0.8.®, for service at Home.
