ANFU TROOPS DEFEATED
FIGHTING ON PEKIN-TIENTSIN i RAILWAY.

PEKIN, July 18. Cliih-li circles state tint the Ani'u troops which attacked AYupeifu's troops south.of Liuliho suffered defeat. There were 600 casualties. The fighting'wjilS. resumed later. A brigade of the thirteenth frontier division was outflanked and surrendered. A report from the same source states that two brigades of Enkouchang's troops surrendered to the Chih-li forces. • , Later messages state that the lighting that started last evening continues on the Pekin-Tientsin railway. The wounded continue to arrive_from Liuliho. Diplomats' aro considering necessary measures in view of the severance of railway and telegraph communication since yesterday.
