E. C. Rae, J. B. O'Shea, and L. 11. Hewitt have written to the president of the Racing Conference statt ing tFiat.no good result can come of their prosecuting their appeals, on the ground that the suspension exjiires ten da.ya after the date set down for hearing of the appeal. If the appeal is successful there would be no further meetings this s-aason that they could ride at. If the appeal is unsuccessful they would be Wavy financial- losers in taking an advocate and themselves to Wellington. Therefore, they withdraw the appeals- and respectfully submit that the deposit be refunded.
