PIG-HUNTER KILLED

TAUMARUNUI, July 16. A married man named Henry Coe, a returned soldier, aged 36 years, and formally bailiff of Taumarunui Courts was accidentally killed while pig-hunting. The dogs bailed up a pig, and Coe. proceeded to beat the dogs off with the butt-end of a pearifle. The rifle went off, and the bullet wounded Coe in the groin. He expired almost immediately. The fatality happened at Waituhi.
