WELLINGTON, July 16. A motion on. the Order Paper of the Racing Conference —"That in. ihe event of a,strike by virtue of the riders' refusal fo ride the stewards snay permit persons to ride without license for that particular meeting O nly"_was altered to "In exceptional circumstances the stewards of imy race meeting may exercise the powers specified in the rules during such meeting if satisfied that there are not sufficient jockeys on the course who can and will ride."
