ALLIES' BEEP DISAPPOINT-

A Conference communique states • Won Simons advanced the serious difficulties facing the German Government as regarded greater coal tonnage until it had . obtained the •owners' and miners' assent to increase tins output. He submitted that German proposals for the delivery of •66,000 tons per working day from next' 'Qctobor and 68,000 tons dailj / from- October, 1921, conditionally' on the possibility of improving the feeding and housing of the workmen. Tho Belgian Premier expressed, on Ibehalf of the Allies, their deep disappointment. Ha said that the reply •created a grave situation. He reiminded Yon Simons that the Reparation Commission had already reduced

'ifchi© Treaty provisions as regarded <x>al, and the Allies were willing still to' hear the German explanations and offers. Ho added that, in view of

the German Government's attitude,

which took account neither of the "Treaty reparations nor the CommisJsion's programme and made totally inadequate offers, the Conference ■would be suspended to enable the [Allies toi examin» the situation.

Tho communique concludes: Marshal Foch and Field-Marshal "Wilson -will be summoned to th.© Spa on -matters of extre-ne urgency.
