(Received July 16, 9.25 a.m.) NEW YOilK, July 15. It v is announced that the Resolute will v receive a time allowance of 7 minutes 15 seconds, due to the Shamrock's greater size. The Shamrock is fitted with a new streamline sail between the mainsail and the mast, giving the craft additional sail area.

The weather forecast from Sandy Hook on Thursday was:—Moderate to fresh winds; weather unsettled, with thunder showers probable.

During the day the Shamrock took a trial spin with the additional sail. Skipper Burton stated that he was very much satisfied with the vessel's performance,
