Sir, —-There appears in your issue of 7th inst. a report of an interview granted by the President of the Board of Trade to Mr Gray, Blenheim, managers of ThoNmv Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Association, aoeoin.panied by Mr IL McCallum, M.P., on the subject *of the allocation of sugar and bensine supplies to the Mariborough district. It is therein, reported that Mr Gray, in-represent-ing his case to Mr Lee, stated that his Company supplied two-thirds of the farmers of this district wifch. the above commodities. This statement is very much resented by other Blenheim merchants, and a refutation lia.* been sent to Mr Lee by telegram m the following terms: — - •'Referring representations madeto you by Mr Gray, reprt'^entinj; 'Farmers, Co-op., Blenheim, regarding; supplies sugar and benzine, we. the undersigned Bionheim merchants, agree that the supplies allocated Ut jVlarlborough a.ra inadequate, but rei'ute his statement that his Association supplies two-thirds of the farming communities requirements.
