RUN OVER BY MOTOR-LORRY.

[Pees* .Association.] WELLINGTON, June 1. ■ A man named William Coombs was • killed and another man named John Lilly was injured through a-collision irith a motor-lorry in Jervois Q\iayyesterday. , It appears tljat Coombs and Lilley were crossing Jen^ois Quay, in' the neighborhood' of' the Brigade Station, and had, just emirged from the rear of one isotor-, lorry irhoa they came straight in front of a Sewnd motor-lorry, gravelling at a speed of about eight miles an hour. The driver applied the brakes, but' ioo late to avert, the accident., ,' / 4 Goombs'was 42 years of age.. He was in town- on a bigness visit. Lilly's condition last night became , serious, but he was reported this morning to be a "little- better.
