STRIKE OF TARATU MINERS.

It appears that when the new 'agreement bf three months ago came 'into operation,., granting 60 per cent Wfe&s© on prewar rates,' the increase of threepence per ton granted to: the miners in .3918 was rdiscontinued. <■■■■-■ ■'■"'.' A meeting of the1 men was held, when it was decided to adhere to tlie previous determination. . \ • It appeals 'that the strike is not too popular, and sonte meti have already applied for; "work at the ■. Kaitarigata mine, and will commence there this morning. Altogether 50 men are affected.
