News has been received from the that when the Bolshevik '.armies were i descending upon Baku from the north, a large and wellr©quipped Armenian force moved against the Tartar Republic and -captured ■■■Elizabethpol; after fierce fighting. - .v , " The Armenians are,now astride tne railway below Tiflis, and are, moving along it. .■■'-.:•' ;, . ' Another Armenian force is advancing down the River Aras, apparently --with the intention of seizing the •district of Karadagh, lying between ' Persia and the Tartar Republic. * This move, cutting ofif the 801----sheviks from Persia, except by sea, induced the Red leaders to approach &he Armenians with offers of'peace.
