MANCHESTER'S- CLAIMS.

The Yorkshire Observer states that efforts are being mad© in Manchester to start wool sales through the dock warehouses at Old Iraffclrdi, replacing tho Liverpool auctions. Ifci is pointed out that Manchester offers wool ships' numerous chances of profitabl© back-leading. Thj experiment is also being made at present with the establishment of a .selecting and distributing centre at Hiill. 'Whether it will be continued after the Government sales are completed depends on tho attitude of the Bradford trade.
