MAN CUT TO PIECES.

PALMERSTON NORxH April 12. A fatal railway accident occurred on Saturday night when a middleaged man whose name is believed to' l>e J. D. Robertson, a stranger to the itown, was caught by a shunting train on part of the line not used by pedestrians. He was knocked down oy the engine and carried some distance. The body was cut to pieces. From letters found on,the body the deceased came from Singapore. ,
