WEEKLY SALE.
Griffiths Bros., Ltd., report on their weekly sale held on Saturday as follows:—There was a good attendance, and a fairly good catalogue was submitted. Prices throughout were on a par with previous week's sales, and a splendid clearance was effected. Apples were dull of sale. Pigs and poultry met with fair competition. Potatoes showed a slight downward tendceny, the supply being plentiful, but the demand only fair. Furniture sold readily. Prices ruled as follows: ■ —Pigs, weaners 24s 6d, 21s, 20s, to 18s; poultry, fowls ss, 4s 9d, 4s 6d, 4s 3d, to 4s per pair. Saddle £5 10s, set of harrows £4. Tomatoes brought 5s to 4s per half dump; apples 5s to 4s per case. Potatoes brought from 12s to 10s, onions }2s 6d per cwt. Swedes 7s, barley seconds 235, pollard 235, bran (2001b.) 18s, pig meal 18s per sack. Furniture of great variety sold readily. The firm's next salo will be held at the farm of Mrs J. Michalanney, Old Renwick Road, on Wednesday next at 1.30 p.m., when the whole of the live and dead stock will be submitted.
