The death occurred in Nelson on Thursday, of' Mrs Redgrave, wife of .Mr A: J. Redgrave. The deceased lady took an active interest in the parochial and missionary work of the Anglican Church and in social efforts, and was for some time a member of tho Town Schools Gommititee.
Reference was mad© at the meeting of the South Island Main Trunk Railway League on Satui-dav to the approaching departure of Mr R. F. Goulter from New Zealand for a world tour. A resolution was passed, 'temtaring to Mr Coulter, who is tho president of this bcldy, the League's wishes for a pleasant trip and a safe return. • The services that* Mr G-oultor has rendered to the cause of, railway construction and land settlement in Mwrlborough were warmly eulogised. He was the president ->f the Leag'io (originally called the Marlborough Land and- Railway League) from 1897, when it was formed, till 1903, and has occupied tho position from 1912 till the present time. He has thus been a-, ithe head of the organisation for 20 years.
