(Received April 8, 11.10 p.m.) LONDON, April 8. The fall in yxchange rates—6l points in Paris and 87 in Rome—together with the situation on the Continent, had a depressing effect on the Stock Exchange, and business was restricted.
Consols are quoted at £45 17s 6d. The London County Council is issuing a loan of £7,000,000, bearing interest at. 5f per cent. The price of the issue is 95.
