TWO MEN SENT TO GAOL.

DUNEDIN, April 7.

At tlie Police Count three men appeared as a result of street disturbances on Ehister Monday, being variouvsly charged with drunkenness, assault, obstructing the police, and obsceno langtiage. One man received two months, another fourteen daySj and! a third was fined. The Magistrate said the Bench from time to time had endeavored to impress upon people the seriousness of obstructing and assaulting the police. An assault on the police was absolutely unjustifiable.
