(ReceOived April 7, 11.55 p.m.) SIDNEY, April 7. *The steamer Aughmish, of 3000 lons, en route from Port Pirie to Newcastle with 4500 tons of iron ore aboard, Is ashore off Montague Iskaid. It is feared that she will become a total wreck.
Advice has been received in Sydney that the Federal Government's liner Carawa, which grounded at the Galapagos Islands (off the coast of Ecuador) is a total loss. The crew are supposed to have landed. The vessel carried a cargo of oil fr<sm Port ■Arthur, Texas-, valued at £200,000.
