BOWLING.

A Blenheim rink, comprising J. Nicholas, L. Collier, F. C. Hall, and W. J. Elvy (skip), participated 111 the Easter "tournament at Nelson. On Good Friday their games resulted as follows: v. Belts (Nelson), lost by 8 to 12; v. Stiles (Nelson), lost by 18 to 15; v. Boyes (Motueka), lost-by 17 to 18. They,had a successful run on Easter. Monday, as follows.: v. Kinniburgh (Hataitai), won by ,18 to 12; v. Wilkinson (Thorndon), won by 16 to 15; v. Moyes (Nelson), won by 18 to 17. A Pietoii rink, skipped by G. Smith and G. J. Riddeli, went through the two days' play with one loss.. On Good Friday they played as follows: v. Eban lost by 9 to 12; v. Harton (Nelson), won by 14 to 12; v. Laughton (Newtown), won by 23 to 12. Easter" Monday—v. Stiles (Nelson), won by 12 to 9; v. Hogg (Richmond), won by 22 to 11; v. Scott (Takaka), won by 21 to 16. A form of competition which will bear repetition locally was the sealed handicap pairs touraey which the Blenheim Club conducted during Easter. There was an element of uncertainty about- results which made for sustained interest in play. Confidering that this was the first competition of the kind held here for years t-he handicapping was particularly good, as tho following aggrogates will show. Easter Saturday: A. A. Wedde and T. F.
