LINKWATER v. CARLUKE. !

The above teams met at >.' Carluke on IViday last. In a low scoring game /tlie visitors prevailed by 21 rpns. The state of the wicket left much to be desired. '

The scores were: Linkwater 16 and 51 (Barker 25 not out, Patterson 11) j Carluke 23 and 23,

For Carluke the best howling was done by E. Neal, H. Ooleman, and C. Campbell; while for Linkwater N. Bryant and J. Murphy were most successful.

After the match proper a' onehinirigs game was played. Carluke made 74 (Simpson 27, Campbell ll), and Linkwater 68 (W. Bryant 36).

WELLINGTON v, BLENHEIM

BOYS. •

A match was played at the Domain on Good Friday between Wellington and Blenheim boys, resulting in a draw. Blenheim, batting first, made' 73, Adams (28), and Greig (11) being the only ones to reach double figures. Wellington replied with 128—Searle 35, Andrews 18, Phelps 28, Qudby 12, Pryor 14. ' I

In their second innings, which was nob completed, Blenheim lost 4 wickets for 172—Horton J34 and McTsaae 98 (including 1% fours). Mclsaac had hard luck in not reaching his century, being stumped in the last three minutes of play.

The bowling analysis were:—Wellington, Searle 2 for* 19 and 0 for 58; Pryor 6 for 20 and 3 for 68; Andrews 0 for 13 and 1 for 15; Cudby 2 for 17 and 0 for 19. Blenheim, Mclsaacs 2 for 44, Horton 1 for 38, Greig 3 for 6, and Adams 4 for 20.
