The ne^v Ministry is non-partisan, and is purely provisional, for the purpose of conducting the elections as ordered by the King on the basis of the new Electoral Bill; but the Socialists claim a triumph over the loyal section, and place the demand for a republic in the forefront of their election programme. t The general strike has been* cancelled.
