Tlie missing launch party were --picked up by the. steamer Ngakuta ' 'siti 6.30 n.m" to-day off Cape Gampl>ell; in a- ve,vy exhausted condition. They wore brought back to Wellington. Although obviously tired and : shaken, the six men inave recovered to a great extent from tiheir trying ■ experience. The party set out on Sunday morning for a few hours' fishing, but tho engine broke down and a gal© came up, with x\\e result that the little orift was (fifita mercy for two - days. It was blown along the east eon.st and across to Kaakoura and Cn.pß Campbell by «he aid of a sail made from sugar sacks. The men had no food or water, and1 .- .aib times, when near the land, all • -efforts to get aishoir© were ctf no avail, «owing .to the strong current.
