At the inter-State tennis tournament, in the men's matches Victoria defeated New South Wales by 247 to 230, and South Australia by 194 to 179. • In the ladies' matches New South Wales defeated Victoria by 142 to 99, and Victoria defeated South Australia by 117 to 18.
