CHRISTOHURCH, Nov. 19. There were big yardings in nil classes at the Addingtqn market today. Prices were doufn for practically all stock. Five' hundred and twenty-five fat cattle were penned, about double the ordinary Mipply, and the drop was from £3 to £4 ptr r head. Fat sheep were down from 3s to 8s per head, the market leing a very erratic one. The decreased demand by butchers is due to the growing use of frozen mutton, md the late high prices are not likely to recur.

Fat cattle: Extra prime stfers to £39, prime steers £17 to £30, ordinary £8 to £16 10s, prime heifers £13 to' £19 15s, ordinary £8 2s 6d to £12, prime cows £12 to £19 10s, ordinary £3 to £11 10s.

Fat sheep: Eight races were penned, about six pens being sufficient under ordinary (circumstances for the week's requirements. Extra prime wethers to 62s 3d, prime wethers 51s to 58s 3d, medium 42s 6d to 50s, lighter 27s to 38s 6d, extra, prime ewes 58s, prime ,4.6s to 545, medium 39s 6d to 43s 9d. lighter 26s t-i 36.s 8d ? prime hoggets 41s ; lighter 34s 6d. Second mid third calves to £16 10s. cows in nilk £10, heifers £6 5s to £13 ss. Good veal calves were in very small supply. Good vealers £5 2s 6d, small and inferior 5s to 10s.

Fat pigs: There was an exceptionally keen demand. Extra heavy baconers £8 10s, others £5 10s to £7 los, equal to ll^d per lb; heavy porkers to 100s, others 85s, equal to 10-Jd to Is per lb; choppers £6 to £10.

Store sheep: Two-tooth ewes (shorn) 27s 9d, four, six, and eighttooth ewes 30s to 34s 9d, shorn 28ti, with lambs and in wool 20s to 23s lid all counted, two-tooth ewes and wethers shorn 21s, two-tooth wethers shorn 13s-lid to ;255, four and sixtooth wethers 35s to 4.55, shorn 28s to 31s 9d.

Store pigs: Good sorts £3 . rjs to £4 4s, medium £2 15s" to £3 ss, slips £2 10s to £2 15s, weaners £1 5s to £2 10s.
