BLENHEIM STOCK SALE
At the Blenheim stock yards yesterday the Farmers' Co-op. Association held their monthly stock sale. Slieep and cattle were penned in fair numbers, but the competition met with throughout -was dull, and isales were difficult to make. Practically all the yarding, however, was disposed of at auction. Prices realised "were as follows :—
Slieep: .Fat wethers, shorn, 2os Gd to 31s; fat ewes,.shorn, 24s Id to 29s .3d ; fat ewns, in wool, 4.05; m.s. hoggets, iv vrool, 23s,Dd to 24s Gd; two-tooth half bred wethers, shorn^2ls 3d; two:tooth three'quarter-bred wethers, .-shorn, 2i)s 6d; two-tooth half-bred •and thrccquarter-bred ewes, shorn, •23s 3d.
Oattle: Fat cows, £12 15s to £13 15s; two-year steers, £6 to £7 IBs; yearling 'cattle, £3 5s to £3 12s; empty cows, £4 5s to £8.
The Associated Auctioneers report ■holding their; monthly stock sale .it Blenheim yesterday, when they submitted a fairly good yarding of store sheep and a medium yarding of fats, to an average attendance of buyers. Bidding was inclined to drag, and the sale. on the whole was slow, a good number of lines being pasesd at auction. Prices realised were as follows:—
Fat ewes, 28s; fat wethers, 275; < crossbred ewes, two, four, and sixtooth, 22s Gd ; ewes and lambs, al! oounted, 14s 3d. Fat cows, light, £8 10s; empty * cows, £8; 2£-year steers, £8; 18----months steers, £6 Is; yearling steers, £D; yearling heifers, £5 15s; calves, 20s.
