A I>unedin telegram states tlmt the "Wahino, which is at present being reconditioned iat Dumbarton, h expected to leave for Port Chalmers in September. The "Wahine will be placed in the ferry service in time for the Canterbury carnival in November. After that the ferry service will be maintained by the Wahine and the Maori.
