[Pbess Association.] WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. Following is a summary of strike* - news taken from recent files:—• SYDNEY, Sept. IS. Over a dozen unions, representing nearly S!0,000 members, yesterday endorsed the Defence Committee's, recommendation to resume, principally in Government dockyards and private, establishments. These included engineers, boilermakers* moulder?, and ironworkers, whose! unions added a specific proviso not to> resume in railway and tramway workshops. Numbers of engineers and ■ boilermakers, however, have already, resumed in the «hops. A considerable number of gas and ■sug-ir-workers have, resumed.
