the Loan and Mercantile Company, who gave a very interesting and helpful lecture on matters connected with the wool industry, and was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks. It was decided to support the resolution forwarded by the Flaxbourne Settlers' Association requesting the N.Z. Refrigerating Company to erect increased storage space., at the Picton works.

It was also decided to ask the Government to arrange for the inspection of threshing plants at the commencement jof each threshing, season.

The report and balance-nheet were read and adopted, also the balancesheet of the rabbit-poisoning Committee. - - .

Mr A. H. Roberts and Mr F. Newcombe were appointed to make suitable poison ing arrangements on the Bamelines as last year; poisoning to start about August 1 st. Members were requested to make their requirements known to Messrs Roberts and» Newcombe as early as possible.

Mr G. H. Broadbridge forwarded a list of the earmarks and brands in use "in the district, and was accorded a vote of thanks, members expressing much satisfaction with the thorough manner in which the work\ had been carried out.

The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr J. R. A. Gifford; vice-president, Mr J. W. Evans; hon. secretary, Mr J. C. Martin ; auditorEMr A. 11. Roberts; committee, Messrs Low, Black, McCaskey, J. Fowler, and Parfitt.
