GERMAN SHIPS REQUISITIONED
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received July 2. 10.50 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 1. _^ President Wilson has ordered the shipping Board to take over eightysever interned German-owned ships, of a total tonnage exceeding 600,000. The Board is empowered to use the interned ships for any service, but it is believed that most of them will be used for the trans-Atlantic service in alleviating the shortage of shipping foi- the Allies.
